Musical expression is at the root of any discussion of fundamentals and technique on the horn. I give students the knowledge and tools they need to ensure they have a solid fundamental approach to the horn while teaching nuance and phrasing to build up their musical vocabulary. The goal in any lesson is for students to leave feeling confident about how to practice the technique and musicality to achieve a high standard of musicianship on the horn."
